ATHENA WISNIEWSKI

Strongly influenced by the singer-songwriters of her childhood as well as the indie rock sounds of her later youth, Athena began writing her own songs within just a few years of first learning to play guitar.  Soon after, she was showcasing her original music in and around the local NY scene, all the while developing an appreciation for roots rock and Americana.  

It was then that she teamed up with her partner Sean, forming the indie/acoustic duo, SageWind.  There, she displayed her songwriting skills as lead vocalist and rhythm-guitarist, along-side Sean Wisniewski's dynamic multi-instrumental leads and accompaniments. 

Athena's songs have been described by many as edgy and intense yet sweetly melodic.
